Any other Tales fans out there?
I just completed my first run at Tales of Xillia, and am pumped for Xillia 2!

Also interested if anyone recommends Tales of Innocence, or any other PS3 Tales gems.

I am in love with the Tales series! First played Phantasia when I was younger and then didn't play another until Symphonia. Loved the crap out of that one and went on to play Abyss and Vesperia. Love 'em both. Once I get a PS3 I'll grab Graces and Xilia/Xilia 2. They look amazing.

Oh yeah, I played the Innocence patch on DS a couple years ago. If you're going for the R remake then yes, I definitely recommend it. I liked the game, it was fun.

Cool! I'll look into Innocence R then!
Is Abyss as "updated" as Vesperia is? I have been watching footage of Symphonia Chronicles lately and I forgot how old the game is, lol :). Even with the fresh coat of paint, it doesn't look half as pretty as Vesperia, let alone the stellar Xillia.
I cannot recommend Xillia enough. If you liked Vesperia, you will love Xillia. I felt it refined all of the combat and mechanics in terrific ways. I'm trying not to gush too much about it here, but it was a great game. I love that there are two main characters to play, so I will be jumping into playthrough #2 soon before Xillia 2 comes out.
I have to be honest as well, I was mixing up tales of innocence with Abyss and Graces f. I actually have seen Graces f for sale before and almost picked it up. Hopefully it's a good one too.

I haven't plays a Tales game since Tales of Destiny. I really enjoyed that one but just never got around to any of the other games.

I have played Tales of Radiance back in the day and I remembered liking it but I haven't played any since. I'm looking forward to FFX/FFX-2 re-release. It is paid for in full.

I am also really looking forward to the FFX/X-2 HD release, though I have purchased the Vita versions. Will be great to take on the go with me, and I generally play on my lunch breaks as well! Popping new trophies back in Spira! Nice!

I wouldn't say I'm a "fan", but I did get Tales of Xillia for Christmas, but have yet to play it. I plan to give it a go on one of my days off.

I did play Tales of Destiny way back in the original PlayStation days though, and it cracked me up. Rutee did NOTHING but Search Gold during every fight, which basically handicaps you. I don't remember too much more than that, but I just remember every fight starting (and ending) with her face first on the ground looking for gold...

I had one for Gamecube.
I liked it.
I got permastuck in the world map after loading my saved game.
I couldn't fix it.
I quit.
I had what I think was a Spinoff for the XBox 360 about Chopin. I beat that and it was definitely fun.

I started playing it last night as well, what with FFXIV being down, and so far it's been interesting. I'm not too terribly far into it (and I'm wondering why every single female in Talim Medical School has pink hair), but the graphics are pretty good thus far.

Now, it just needs to combat my urge to try Sleeping Dogs (which I bought this week) and keep me playing... lol

I was loving Xillia as well! Who'd you choose as the main character? Milla here for sure. I find myself using Leia though most of the time. She's super fun in battle. Reminds me of a close ranged Natalia(from TotA). Plus her aerial game is really good.

I've seen xillia on the psn for cheap, thought about picking it up but I haven't got to it yet. I seen that they are remaking the gamecube one for ps3 that releases later next month, I will probably buy that.

Is it any good, or should I pass it up?

I liked the first Symphonia but never played the second one which is included in that collection. Personally, planning on buying that myself. :D
Also, I do recomend Xillia if you are a fan of any of the previous games in the series. If you have never played any of them, the combat is similar to the Star Ocean games.

What Ary said pretty much. If you like Tales, you'll like Xillia. It's one of the more modern ones with Free Run, but it's not terribly exploitable like in Abyss. It's a bit shorter than other entries I believe, but I've had a lot of fun with it. It's actually really fun if you can play multiplayer with someone, that makes the game like 100x more fun.
